Arts & Crafts Solarium
This spacious room hosts many of Whispering Knoll's most popular activities, including weekly word games, monthly Activities meetings and a fun monthly social hosted by a local Girl Scouts troop. Assisted living residents can also come here to enjoy instructor-led workshops such as Crafting sessions and Fresh Floral Arranging. And don't forget to stop by the Traveling Dollar Store!
Cinema
Are you a movie buff? Whispering Knoll's cinema is the place for you! Whether you come for our monthly feature movie or weekly miniseries, you're sure to find great entertainment on our "big screen." The Cinema is also open daily for the use of our residents and their families, who can choose from a wide selection of videos and DVDs.
Game Room
Who needs Atlantic City or Vegas? Stop by our on-site "casino" and we'll deal you in at our popular blackjack games. If games of chance aren't your cup of tea, try our chess and pool tables instead. Families are always welcome to join the fun!
Library
If you're looking for a good book, there's no need to look any further than Whispering Knoll's extensive on-site Library. Our assisted living residents have access to a wide variety of reading material from the latest bestsellers to the classics, including large-print versions of many books. The Library also hosts a monthly tea party during the winter months. These are great opportunities to socialize with friends and neighbors and shake off those cold-weather blues.
Gym & Wellness Center
Staying active is an important part of independent living at Whispering Knoll. At our Gym and Wellness Center, assisted living residents can take part in daily exercise classes led by a professional trainer. All levels of ability and fitness are welcome and encouraged to participate. We even have seated "steppers" to help improve mobility and range of motion. Licensed RNs are available on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide nursing care and wellness services and assist with all your medical needs.
Social Lounges
Many of our assisted living residents feel that Whispering Knoll's Social Lounges are the heart of our community. In the first-floor Lounge, typical activities include religious services, including Jewish worship, Protestant services and Catholic Masses and Rosary Group gatherings. You'll also find Drama Club meetings and Creative Writing workshops in this Lounge. In the second floor Lounge, keep up with the latest news at our regular Current Events and News Sessions. The cheery third-floor Lounge is home to Whispering Knoll's own chapter of the Red Hat Society, where our fun-loving "Red Hatters" get together for regular meetings and social events.
Outdoor Patios
The great outdoors is only a few steps away on our beautiful open-air patios. In warm weather, our assisted living residents gather here for walking groups, monthly barbeques, tea parties and other outdoor social events. Our Special Care Community residents enjoy access to their own secure outdoor patio and walking path for social events and exercise.
